Getting to Dragons Garden
To get to Ometepe you will have to take the ferry from the port San Jorge. From Managua there are busses going straigth to the port, or you can take a transfer straigth to the port. It is also possible to first go to Rivas and take a taxi to the port from there for about 6 dollars.
There is a ferry going almost every hour. There are two ports at Ometepe; most ferry's go to Moyogalpa, there are a few going to San Jose. This last one is a bit closer to Dragons Garden, but in Moyogalpa it's easier to find other amenities. The ferry costs 50 cordoba, a schedule for the ferry you can find further on this page.
From the port you have multiple options to get to Dragons Garden. You can rent a motorbike or scooter in Moyogalpa and come by yourself, a map of the island is attached at the bottom of this page. You can take a taxi or a tuk-tuk that will cost you about 20 dollars, or arrange a shared transport. Or you can take a public bus that is very cheap, the bus schedule you can also find down on this page.
